ABOUT OUR FACILITY
Eco Friendly
Clean and Green! Our building (built by our dad) has been constructed with the health of not only our people but also our environment in mind. We’ve used materials that are safer and healthier for all and we even harvest our own rainwater. Our building is naturally fire resistant having used a Weathertex cladding product that is 100% natural so no glues, resins, fibres or formaldehyde’s. We’ve also equipped every room with climate control ensuring a comfortable constant temperature for all of our little gems all day long.
Spacious
Jungle gems has generous outdoor space including both covered and shaded outdoor play areas. In addition to this we have an open playground, sand pit and elevated garden area, which includes a veggie patch. Here children are planting, watering, growing and harvesting their own vegetables.
Inside we have large dedicated rooms for our babies, toddlers and pre-preps as well as gorgeous cubicle style bathrooms, staff offices, kitchens, laundry, boardroom, reception area, loads of storage and ample onsite parking. We encourage families to pop in for a tour of our amazing African safari themed facility.
Latest Technology
We’ve implemented the latest technology into our centre. Jungle Gems has 4 interactive whiteboards allowing children to interact with the learning material. Interactive whiteboards are effective tools for improving learning, communication and collaboration. They allow educators to take standard lessons and turn them into interactive activities. Kids have fun while they learn as not only can they see, hear and touch the whiteboards they can even draw and write on them.
Interactive whiteboard technology allows any device you can think of like computers, microscopes, cameras, and video cameras to be attached to the boards allowing our educator’s creative and innovative ways to teach the same subject material. It’s proven that by utilising this technology children are more attentive, their comprehension improves, and literacy increases. When children are more engaged they learn better and they remember more.
